We send our heartfelt condolences to the family of James Kim, CNET editor. Though we did not know James Kim personally, it is always sad when a gifted mind leaves this world.

Many of us were hoping for him to rejoin his family safely, and were saddened by the turn of events which resulted in his loss.

Our hearts go out to the rescue workers who saved Kim's wife, Kati, and daughters Penelope (4 years) and Sabine (7 months) and risked their lives to find James.
