NetQoS Combining Tech With Network Instruments for Retro-Analysis
For example, this allows an engineer to identify a network that is showing slow web performance. The engineer can then drill down to a packet capture that includes network traffic 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the event. This capability is changing the troubleshooting capabilities by replaying network traffic prior to the issue occurring. It's like having a TiVO for your network.

InfoWorld: Cisco focuses on end-user experience
"While I don't expect us to be the equivalent of Sony any time soon, more and more we'll be in front of the consumer, and more and more we'll be certainly in front of the business user, with our phones, with the user interface on the PCs, with Telepresence, et cetera," Giancarlo said.

If Cisco was the equivalent of Sony, there would be a massive shortage of routers in the marketplace, they would come with rootkits, and cost about twice as much as the competition.

Network World: Tradeshows Worth Your Time in 2007
Whether attending a boutique show that caters to your specialty or trying to make the most of a monster event, we know your time and travel dollars are precious. So we've scanned the IT trade show calendar for 2007 to come up with a list of events that will likely offer the most bang for your buck.

We'll be at Cisco Networkers in Cannes, Interop in Las Vegas, and Cisco Networkers in Anaheim, and we'll probably add more events as the year goes on.

New York Times: Vista Wins on Looks. As for Lacks...
So after five years, how is Windows Vista? Microsoft's description, which you'll soon be seeing in millions of dollars' worth of advertising, is "Clear, Confident, Connected." But a more truthful motto would be "Looks, Locks, Lacks."

It's interesting to see what the NYT thinks of Vista; of course they neglected to mention the feature of Vista everyone's talking about - the TCP/IP stack.
