He attributes this rise in interest to Sarbanes-Oxley and its requirement of real-time disclosure. "There are a certain number of bad things that can happen to a company that have to be reported within certain time constraints. To get that kind of visibility, senior executives are requiring IT to deliver them a dashboard that monitors the health and welfare of the company."
